Being a survivor: to me this doesn’t necessarily mean cancer or the Holocaust or the reality show on CBS.
We’re all survivors of something. Any lessons I learned from surviving cancer can be applied to surviving anything else.
Here are some posts that apply:
- Independence Day
- A long view of the short straw
- The gift of a life
- Happy Anniversary?
- Burning Bras with Keira Knightley
- Light-Headed
- Happy Birthday No Matter What
- Building Bridges
- Good Hair Days
- Strategic Scanning
- Deeper than Dip
- Chill out
- Survivors of Something
I’ve haven’t yet written the story of my cancer journey—here or anywhere else. But someone else did. Laurence Gonzales wrote about my struggle to find the right treatment and the right doctor, and ultimately how I was lucky to find ways to heal myself. The story was in MORE Magazine and you can read it here.
After becoming a writer, artist, TV journalist, mother and breast cancer survivor----I realize nothing turns out the way we expect. So I blog about handling the big and little things — with humor, humanity, and hope.
