Spending Thanksgiving with both of my children….just two among many reasons to give thanks.
As I headed back to Carmel today I realized I was about to miss the best part of Thanksgiving: No Leftovers as long as you don’t count the 3 loaves of pumpkin bread waiting at home.
Yes I had consumed enough to hold me till next year’s dinner; but it’s not Thanksgiving without leftovers. So I decided on something different — leftover Thanksgiving spirit. For the rest of the week, I would find reasons to give thanks—especially little things I often overlook.
Sure enough, after a 6- hour drive home, there it was—-something wonderful was waiting just for me—a parking space. Perfectly situated and perfectly timed to something else waiting for me—another reason to be thankful.
I’m sure everyone can find reasons for post-Thanksgiving thanks; and I hope you’ll let me know.

I also have so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving with all our family was a joy.I had dinner with my husband and son in Del Mar yesterday and it was the longest and most beautiful sunset I have ever seen!!!
Nothing like a gorgeous sunset to add to the wonderful feelings of family and thanksgiving. Love to your family and hope to see everyone soon.
