img076Seeing those baby girls.…alongside my grown up daughter….and son—it was impossible not to think back, and hum a few bars…..

Is this the little girl I carried?

It’s been that kind of weekend.

As  proud parents (and sentimental slobs),  my ex and I exchanged a lot of glances behind their backs,   marveling at the two amazing human beings we produced.

I don’t remember growing older……….when did they?

Maybe I’ve become a cliche;  I can’t say it any better than that.

This is the age they were when I knew them best. Everything after that has been a bit of a shock for me, too! Eric & I dropped J at the airport this morning, and now the house seems extra quiet :o (

  2. Ha–think it’s an age thing? We’re completely in synch. You’re a few hrs. ahead of me timewise, but I’m right there with you emotionally—In fact I’m just writing about that right this minute!

    And I love that song!

Crazy I didn’t even see my mom’s comment before I posted mine! It must be true!

  5. So funny that you didn’t see your mom’s comment—I love the song too–And so glad to hear from you!
