4957350_6c646ff2dcIn one of those ironies of life and timing, this summer I became part of the American Cancer Society’s Blogger Council, working on the ACS new campaign for more birthdays.  I couldn’t have guessed how the combination of cancer and birthdays would hit so close to home last week with the sudden death of my friend Carol.

Yesterday’s Monterey Herald included a major story on Carol’s life and contributions to our community,  while she was fighting her own personal battle against breast cancer.

Today is the More birthdays bash on the Silicon Valley Moms blog—where I joined with moms all over the country, writing on the topic of birthdays—to  raise awareness of the ACS birthday campaign.   I hope you will read some of the stories—and think about birthdays in your own life.   Click here to read my post about Carol, The birthday present.
