Shane arrived in Iraq 2 days ago.
With a son-in-law serving in the military, suddenly the American flag looks different to me. Whenever I see it, I think of him.
And I think of all the other families who sent someone they love off to war— especially those who never came back.
They serve us with honor. And in return, what we can do to honor them ….is simply to remember them.
