The "no gifts, no grief" amendment has been vetoed in our House and does not have the slightest chance of ever being approved (trust me, I have pushed and re-pushed the envelope).zy

Yes I am personally very familiar with the "no gifts, no grief" policy. You can't set the bar any lower than that.

But another potential "take away" from this little rendezvous in Purgatory is "no gifts, no grief"!

I think it hits home for everyone--I think it's one of the funniest things I've seen on the internet.
Your line about Siberia is really funny too.

Message from Siberia (aka the Dog House): This is really a little sensitive around my house and I, for one, do not think it is funny. After 29 years of marriage, I should have learned by now: Thoughtless, last minute gifts never work out. My wife's favorite parfum came in rancid because I insisted on saving money on the internet. And...the sensational gloves that my wife hand-picked six months ago, were bought a size-and-a-half too small and they were one of a kind (fortunately, we found a great replacement yesterday). So....I might see the light of day by New Year's Day.

Seriously, even though that video hit a little too close to home, it was priceless.
